About the Lecturer
Hi, I'm Lizelle de Carvalho and I studied at the University of Pretoria. One of my greatest passions in life is teaching. I give classes in sewing, crochet, handcrafts, and cooking. I’m married and live in Centurion, Gauteng. My motto in life is to at least try it, no matter how daunting, you might just be surprised. ”Great things never came from comfort zones.”
I love to see the excitement in my students when they grasp something for the first time and it fuels me to see how a student, young or old, master new skills. I strive to always present my classes in a fun and exciting way. I also have a successful catering business and developed my own flavoured ice tea that I sold at markets. I love designing my own sewing patterns and creating my own recipes, and I’m currently busy writing my own recipe book in my spare time.
